LimeWorks.US began in 2001 by Andrew deGruchy, a historic masonry preservation specialist near Philadelphia, who for 25 years actively conserves vintage masonry structures throughout the US. LimeWorks.US has simplified Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL) and sand mortars into a matching system that anyone with a good eye for color can use. NHL is suitably used in repointing and repair applications and for making colored stuccos for new “green” building designs including straw bale stucco and plaster systems. LimeWorks.US will also perform mortar analysis and duplicate historic mortars for you.
If you are planning on repointing or repairing an old brick, brownstone or sandstone structure with cut limestone details, or if you are planning to build, stucco and plaster a new building and you want to have the old world look, feel and durability of lime mortar you have found the source! CO2 savings when using lime mortar instead of using modern cement and synthetic mortars are significant. Use our free mortar/CO2 savings calculator at www.limeworks.us
