All Marmoleum products are derived from natural ingredients, so they begin Ð and end Ð with nature. Linseed oil is pressed from the fax plant; wood flower is obtained from lumber industry waste (sawdust) from controlled forests, where every tree felled is replaced; rosins are harvested from pine trees; the beautiful colors of Marmoleum are achieved from using environmentally responsible pigments; and the backing is woven with natural jute fibers. After its long life, Marmoleum is biodegradable! Linoleum trimming scraps are ground into fine powder in the recycling department and sorted by color, and are then re-used as a raw material in the production process. Even the adhesives used to install it are free of solvents and harmful substances.
