Shaker Workshops was founded in 1970 with the purpose of reproducing original Shaker furniture and oval boxes as faithfully and as economically as possible. We offer an authentic collection of Shaker rocking and dining chairs, tables, bed, mirrors, clocks, cupboard, and more. Whenever possible, we use the exact same grade and species of wood used in the originals. Our furniture is also available as do-it-yourself kits. Whether you choose the convenience of having us hand-finish your furniture or the satisfaction of hand crafting your own furniture from our kits, we know that you will be pleased with the results. Also available are Shaker pegboard (custom lengths a specialty), our own line of reproduction Shaker oval boxes in cherry, and paints and stains in colors the Shakers used. We are a major supplier of Shaker chair tape, both to individuals at home and to other chairmakers. Our chair tape is heavy-duty 100% cotton canvas webbing, yarn-dyed to our specifications with fade-resistance in mind. Made in the USA. Available in three widths and 19 colors. We also work with architects, interior designers, display departments, set designers, and museum curators. We have furnished country inns, restaurants, libraries, churches, offices, museums and historic sites, and private homes throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.
